For the 6th year in a row New Roc City hosted a spectacular family affair on New Year’s Eve day for Westchester parents and kids. This year more participants than ever gathered to watch the climactic noon-time drop of over 3000 colorful and festive balloons descending on enthusiastic kids and parents.

“Ring in the New Year at Noon has become a holiday tradition for Westchester families and we reach out to community partners to add something different each time. We were lucky to get NY Ranger Alum Brian Mullen this year, who attracted many new visitors, and we also introduced a fundraising component and are happy to announce that we raised over $2,000 for Westchester Children’s Museum,” stated Sherry Bruck, Founder of Harquin Creative Group, creator and organizer for the event.

“We were thrilled to be the beneficiaries of this year’s event!” stated Tracy Kay, Executive Director of the Westchester Children’s Museum. “We have a strong base in New Rochelle, but we spoke with people who had traveled from all over Westchester to participate with their families. We look forward to putting the generous donation to good use by helping those in need with admission fees as well as putting some of the funds toward programs and our exhibits,” he added.

The day also featured face painting, arts and crafts, rides, clowns, a wheel of chance, games, snacks, goody bag, raffle prizes and much more. The fee to attend was only a $5 donation per family which went directly to the Westchester Children’s Museum, an interactive learning space in Rye that provides children, families and school groups the opportunity to nurture curiosity and ignite imagination through creative hands-on exploration.

Ring in the New Year at Noon is held in association with the New Rochelle BID Family Day event series plus participating tenants and community partners including FunFuzion Games and Rides, Monroe College, Modell’s Sporting Goods, Applebee’s, Premier Martial Arts, Planet Fitness, LAZ Parking, Buffalo Wild Wings, New Rochelle Parks and Recreation, Marriott Residence Inn, Macaroni Kids, Digital Arts Experience, Super Soccer Stars, the New Rochelle YMCA, New Rochelle Youth Hockey, the NY Rangers, Texas Roadhouse, New Rochelle Farmers Market, Pure Hockey, Uncle Louis G’s Italian Ices & Ice Cream, NR Future, Summit Security, and the New Rochelle Fire Department. Families also received free backpack goodie bags compliments of Laz Parking filled with gifts.

“We intend to organize the event next year as well and look forward to exploring additional ways to keep this family activity fun, and innovative,” added Bruck.
