New Rochelle, NY (January 07, 2013) – Nearly 1,500 revelers gathered in the atrium of New Roc City for the third annual Ring in the New Year at Noon on Monday, December 31. With Master of Ceremonies Jimmy Fink of 107.1 The Peak, New Roc City hosted the end-of-the-year celebration in a Times-Square simulated atmosphere complete with fun-filled family activities and an indoor balloon release at the stroke of noon. Ring in the New Year at Noon is sponsored by CB Richard Ellis, and is held in association with the New Rochelle Business Improvement District and their BID Family Day event series.
Ring in the New Year at Noon kicked-off at 10:30 a.m. with non-stop, fun-filled family activities including arts and crafts, face painters, magicians, music, dance lessons, martial arts demonstrations, games and more. Families also received special offers ranging from game cards to movie tickets to discounts on meals from New Roc City’s restaurants and retail establishments. Participating tenants include FUNFUZION Games and Rides, Premier Martial Arts, Modell’s Sporting Goods, Monroe College, Regal IMAX Theater, Jani Chinese and Japanese Restaurant, Applebee’s and LAZ Parking.
There was no need for kids to stay up until midnight as Jimmy Fink rang in the New Year early with the countdown to noon complete with a thrilling balloon release that covered all three floors with festive, brightly-colored balloons. Families were invited to spend the rest of the afternoon at New Roc’s complex to complete their fun-filled New Year’s celebration.
Additionally the event served as a kick-off for the City of New Rochelle’s year-long 325th anniversary celebration (www.newrochelleny.com/325) which will pay tribute to its rich history with a series of family-friendly events throughout 2013.
