New Rochelle, NY — (January 11, 2012) – Over 1,200 revelers gathered in the atrium of New Roc City to Ring in the New Year at Noon on Saturday, December 31. Emceed by Jimmy Fink of 107.1 The Peak, New Roc City hosted the end-of-the-year celebration in a Times-Square simulated atmosphere complete with fun-filled family activities and an indoor balloon release at the stroke of noon. “Ring in the New Year at Noon” was held in association with CB Richard Ellis, the New Rochelle Business Improvement District and their BID Family Day event series.
“Ring in the New Year at Noon” kicked-off at 10:30 a.m. with non-stop, fun-filled family activities including arts and crafts, face painters, magicians, music, martial arts demonstrations, games and more. Families also received special offers ranging from game cards to movie tickets to discounts on meals from New Roc City’s restaurants and retail establishments. Participating tenants include Regal IMAX Theater, Fun Fuzion Games and Rides, Modell’s Sporting Goods, Monroe College, LAZ Parking, Planet Fitness, Applebee’s, Premier Martial Arts and Gamestop.
There was no need for kids to stay up until midnight as Jimmy Fink rang in the New Year early with the countdown to noon complete with a thrilling balloon release that covered all three floors with festive, brightly-colored balloons. Families were invited to spend the rest of the afternoon at New Roc’s complex to complete their fun-filled New Year’s celebration.
The Ring in the New Year at Noon event was conceived of and organized as a partnership by Sherry Bruck of Harquin and Stacey Cohen of Co-Communications. Ring in the New Year at Noon is the second successful daytime event run at New Roc City. "Our role was to coordinate the New Roc City tenants as a team to put on this event and attract families to New Rochelle for the holidays," says Sherry Bruck, President of Harquin. "It's a win win for everyone as the tenants were able to strut their stuff while providing games and goodies for the kids," adds Stacey Cohen, President of Co-Communications. Harquin is located in Pelham, NY and Co-Communications is located in Mount Kisco, NY.
